A College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology with a priority on academic excellence is evidenced by:
- Responsive academic program with full accreditation and ranked in the top quartile nationally.
- Nationally-recognized research programs in area of strategic importance to the State and the Nation.
- Distance and continuing education programs that are subscribed by and meet the needs of the practicing engineers, architects and technologists throughout Oklahoma and the Nation.

Our Goals |
Instruction
- To offer program in Engineering, Architecture and Technology that achieve a level of quality eligible for full term accreditation and rank in the upper quartile of programs nationally
- To maintain a unique position among the nation's engineering colleges by focusing resources on the combination of programs that can merit and achieve national prominence.
- To actively recruit and retain faculty member of excellent quality by offering competitive compensation and benefits that include incentives for quality instruction as well as opportunities for professional development.
- To actively recruit and retain outstanding students.
- To provide instructional facilities, equipment, resources and support services to both faculty and students that characterize an excellent learning environment.
- Through effective long-range management of curriculum, faculty, and resources, both physical and fiscal, to achieve a character of instructional programs that exhibit high quality and efficiency.
Research- To establish a nationally recognized research program in areas of strategic importance to the state and nation.
- To recruit nationally for quality Post-Doctoral candidates and graduate students.
- To provide mechanisms for greater interdisciplinary research.To spotligh CEAT research activities.
Outreach- To provide continuing education and public service opportunities for individual to pursue academic degrees and/or certification, update professional qualifications, develop new personal and job skills, improve social relationships and citizenship responsibilities, and enhance development and quality of life.
- To identify the educational needs within the state and nation, and develop innovative educational programs and the appropriate delivery systems to meet those needs.
- To encourage, where appropriate, cooperation with other universities and external units in the attainment of mutually identifiable objectives.
- To continue development, implementation and review of appropriate administrative structures to enhance the function of CEAT Extension.
- To implement programs and communication that will increase the visibility, effectiveness and understanding of the CEAT Extension mission among the internal and external groups.
